A Spectacular High Grade Megalodon Tooth on Natural Base

A large tooth, 5 inches, with brown root supporting tan and light gray enamel with flecks and areas of orange; presented on a fossilized shell stand. Found off the coast of North Carolina.

On stand approximately 5 3/8 x 5 1/2 x 7 3/4 in.

A remarkable example; with serrations, impressive color, and well-preserved enamel that retains some luster; a few small chips as to be expected; root lightly worn and keeping with overall near symmetry of the form.
