18th century, Pahari school, pigments and gold leaf on paper, includes five paintings depicting scenes from the
Mahabharata: three of the Hindu god Vishnu in his Avatar incarnations of Matsya (fish), Varaha (boar), and Nismbla (lion), one of Vishnu with Hsamkarna, and a painting of Pashuram fighting the demon Banashur, each professionally framed in an identical manner under glass with double mats in giltwood frames.
