Late 19th century, a circular double-sided carved wood screen, one side decorated with inlay of a phoenix standing on a rock surrounded by flowers and
lingzhi, the reverse side painted with Chinese figures at leisure, the circular plaque is set into a hardwood frame which rests into an elaborately carved table stand.
27 1/2 x 15 x 5 in.
Private Collection, Southern Pines, North Carolina Losses to inlay on screen; some breaks with loss to trim on lower tiers of the table stand; also some wood stress cracks and repairs.
