Qing dynasty (1644-1912), late 19th century, a cloisonne enamel covered ewer decorated with lotus scrolls on a turquoise ground, the square shaped central body is inset with carved white jade circular plaques, one centered with a double happiness character flanked by phoenix and bats, the other carved with a bird perched on a flowering branch, the ewer has a curved spout and a tall cylindrical foot with a reticulated double-coin motif to the underside, the flared neck is surmounted by a high domed cover with a jade finial, the cover is secured with a metal chain to the handle, presented resting on a matching cloisonne base.

Overall good estate condition; some rubbing and wear to gilt with scattered areas of discoloration; some very minor nicks to faceted edges of finial.
