18th or 19th century, includes a bowl with cover, white to interior and under foot, of deep rounded form on a short flaring foot, the exterior decorated with floral cartouches on a turquoise ground encircled by stylized floral bands, the three-stepped domed cover with an angular finial (9 in., 5 5/8 in. diameter)(good estate condition) and a bowl, turquoise to interior and white under foot, exterior with alternating mythical creatures surrounded by a flame pattern on black ground, the interior with floral pattern bands against a turquoise ground (3 3/8 in., 5 5/8 in. diameter)(hairline to rim; some small nicks to foot rim). Bencharong ware was made in China for export to the Kingdom of Siam.

Base to jar with a few fleabites to rim; lid to jar with fleabite and hairline wrapping bottom to underside; both jar and lid with some small glaze skips; bowl with several hairlines wrapping rim, one with associated fleabite visible at outer rim, some smoothed nicks to foot rim.
