Kangxi period (1662-1722), porcelain hand-painted in underglaze blue with an arrangement of archaic vessels, scholar items, and ruyi shaped clouds, the cover with Buddhist treasure symbols, with a six character Jiajing mark in underglaze blue within two circles to the underside.

4 5/8 x 6 3/4 x 4 1/4 in.

From the collection of Alice Sophie Everts (von Groening) (1890-1990) and husband Dirk Everts (1890-1928), and by family descent
Acquired in the 1920s by Dirk Everts while in the service of the Dutch government in Hong Kong. The collection was subsequently brought to the Netherlands, where it remained in the Everts family and survived the years of Nazi occupation. Thence by family descent.

Break and repair to base of spout with associated small area of paint restoration; firing hairline to top of handle; and nick to underside rim of lid.
