Kangxi period (1662-1722), porcelain hand-painted in underglaze blue, nine small tea or wine cups with saucers, all decorated with two figures standing by a riverbank, unmarked.

Teacup 1 3/8 x 2 1/2 in. diameter; saucer 4 in. diameter

From the collection of Alice Sophie Everts (von Groening) (1890-1990) and husband Dirk Everts (1890-1928), and by family descent
Acquired in the 1920s by Dirk Everts while in the service of the Dutch government in Hong Kong. The collection was subsequently brought to the Netherlands, where it remained in the Everts family and survived the years of Nazi occupation. Thence by family descent.

Two teacups with breaks and repairs, one with hairline wrapping rim, one with nicks to foot rim, several with fritting to rim; several saucers with fritting to rim, a few with hairlines visible, one with firing anomaly to foot rim.
