A Set of Six Chinese Kangxi Blue and White Bowls with Flower Baskets

Kangxi period (1662-1722), porcelain hand-painted in underglaze blue, each bowl with basket full of lush blooming flowers to the center well surrounded by a loosely painted border of grapevines, the exterior sides with abstract plum branch, unmarked.

Each 6 1/2 diameter x 1 15/8 in.

From the collection of Alice Sophie Everts (von Groening) (1890-1990) and husband Dirk Everts (1890-1928), and by family descent
Acquired in the 1920s by Dirk Everts while in the service of the Dutch government in Hong Kong. The collection was subsequently brought to the Netherlands, where it remained in the Everts family and survived the years of Nazi occupation. Thence by family descent.
