Qing dynasty, probably Kangxi period (1662-1722), a porcelain charger hand-painted in the famille verte palette with three elegant figures in an architectural setting beside a balustraded terrace, with plantain leaves and stylized clouds overhead, evoking the refined leisure of elite life, the surrounding border with shaped reserves containing energetic and animated mythical beasts in an assortment of colors, the exterior sides of the dish have iron red floral garland, unmarked.
