Kangxi period (1662-1722), porcelain hand-painted in underglaze blue, includes a pair of hexagonal cups and saucers with an alternating pattern of cockerels, peonies, and basket of flowers, underside with a double-fish or yin yang motif mark within two double blue circles (Cup 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 in., Saucer 3/4 x 4 3/8 x 3 7/8 in.), and three small circular cups and two saucers, each decorated with a Chinese boy holding a branch surrounded by arched lotus petals filled with fauna and flora (Cup 1 1/4 in., 2 1/8 in. diameter, Saucer 3/4 in., 3 1/2 in. diameter).

From the collection of Alice Sophie Everts (von Groening) (1890-1990) and husband Dirk Everts (1890-1928), and by family descent
Acquired in the 1920s by Dirk Everts while in the service of the Dutch government in Hong Kong. The collection was subsequently brought to the Netherlands, where it remained in the Everts family and survived the years of Nazi occupation. Thence by family descent.

One circular saucer with breaks and repairs to rim; all circular cups with fleabites to foot rims, two with fleabites to rims, one with short hairline at rim.
