Kangxi period (1662-1722), porcelain hand-painted in underglaze blue, the diminutive globular teapot is decorated with geese and water plants, the cover with stylized flowers, raised on three squat feet.

From the collection of Alice Sophie Everts (von Groening) (1890-1990) and husband Dirk Everts (1890-1928), and by family descent
Acquired in the 1920s by Dirk Everts while in the service of the Dutch government in Hong Kong. The collection was subsequently brought to the Netherlands, where it remained in the Everts family and survived the years of Nazi occupation. Thence by family descent.

Small nick to inner rim of lid; otherwise good estate condition.
