Arden, North Carolina, vitreous semi-porcelain stoneware with applied glazes, the first of baluster form with light blue ground with streaky blue green glazes with blue crystalline, worn marks to the underside circa 1934 (6 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 in.); the second in bulbous squat form with prismatic blue crystalline exterior with pink interior, 1948 embossed "potter at the wheel" mark (5 x 6 x 6 in.); the third in light brown streaky glaze, 1930's "potter at the wheel" mark; and the fourth bisque fired, with carved dogwood blossom relief, 1942 "potter at the wheel" mark and signed LaVerna (3 1/2 x 4 x 4 in.).
Good estate condition; brown vase with some wax to interior from use as a votive candle holder.
