Inherited through the family. Retaining card with written provenance.

Thomas Walter Bickett was the governor of North Carolina from 1917 to 1921, serving during World War I. Born in 1869, he was educated at Wake Forest, worked as a lawyer, and served as North Carolina’s attorney general before becoming governor. He died in 1921 shortly after leaving office.

Very good condition.
