Pair of Chinese Carved Cinnabar Style Lacquer Vases

20th century, each vase of square form with flared neck and waisted body, deeply carved in red cinnabar style lacquer with panels of flowering branches and scholar’s rocks reserved against a black diaper ground, framed by scrolling foliate borders, presented together with carved wood stands.
