18th or 19th century, beautifully carved celadon colored hard stone with tan and brown inclusions, possibly jade, with a rotund body finely carved with
taotie faces, flanked by mythical beast head handles suspending rings, raised on three lion mask head feet, the tall dome cover surmounted with a curled foo lion.
5 5/8 x 5 1/2 x 3 in.
From the Collection of Helen Rindlbacher Ward, and by descent Small nick to outer rim edge of cover; a few small scattered nicks to body mainly at rim.
