Meiji period (1868-1912), includes a large and smaller elephant shaped bronze with tiered pagoda rising on back of each, two part censers, ornate cast decoration to the elephants and pagodas above, unmarked.

16 x 10 1/2 x 6 in.; 13 1/4 x 8 x 5 in.

Both censers with expected rubbing and wear from use and age; some loss to dangling elements on pagoda roofs and balustrades; largest with elephant with break and repair to back above the blanket and close to the tail; both with filled holes to underside; top on largest elephant is unsteady and not secure.
