A Mahjong Set in Hardwood Case

Late 19th or early 20th century, a complete set containing 146 tiles: 140 with patterns and 5 plain tiles, and numerous counting sticks, all organized in a carved wooden box, with five pull out drawers, cover lifts up and has two Chinese characters in light green to front, a pair of brass carrying handles to the top.

Loss to one drawer glide; all drawers without handles; looseness to central sliding panel; scattered areas of scuffs to whole.
