Late 19th or early 20th century, a complete set containing 144 tiles, and numerous counting sticks, all organized in a carved wooden box, with five pull out drawers, cover lifts up and has two Chinese characters in mother-of-pearl to front, the sides of the case with birds and flowers in mother-of-pearl inlay, a pair of metal carrying handles to the top.
