Churches Island, North Carolina, circa 1930s, carved and painted wood, retains the original Sanders Foundry anchor weight, branded MI for Monkey Island.

Former collection of the Penn Family who owned Monkey Island Club from 1931 to 1974.

Monkey Island was home to some of the finest puddle duck shooting in the area.The club maintained a stand of puddle ducks decoys carved by Ned Burgess. The remaining examples branded MI are extremely rare.
