Amityville, New York, circa 1870s, carved and painted wood, glass eyes, branded JC Carter and remnants of H.B. Endicott.

Length 14 in.

An attractive diminutive form. James C. Carter was a founding member of Swan Island Club and maintained his membership until his death in 1905. Henry B. Endicott was a member from 1898 until his death in 1920.

Old paint stripped off to existing surface, voids in the wood and around the neck filled with wood putty, glass eyes a later addition.
