Yuko Taylor is a Japanese-American artist known for her vibrant, expressive paintings that blend Eastern and Western influences. Born in Yokohama, Japan, Taylor moved to the United States as a child and studied fine art at the University of California, Berkeley. She has been living in Raleigh, North Carolina since 1990.

Taylor's paintings are characterized by bold, gestural brushwork and a vivid, harmonious color palette. Drawing inspiration from her Japanese heritage as well as the natural landscapes of California and North Carolina, her work explores themes of identity, memory, and the human experience. Incorporating elements of abstract expressionism, Japanese calligraphy, and plein air painting, Taylor's distinctive style reflects her multicultural upbringing and training.

Taylor's work has been exhibited extensively throughout the United States and Japan. Her paintings can be found in private and corporate collections worldwide. An active member of the arts community, she also teaches painting workshops and donates her work to various charitable organizations.
