Designed by Luigi Badia for Royal Hawaiian Mint, only 100 of these coins were made in 1992. A private mint, Royal Hawaiian Mint began in 1975 as NotHaus Mint, founded by Bernard von NotHaus and Talena Presley on the island of Hawaii, who said that their mission was to promote and commemorate Hawaiian culture through commemorative coins and medals. Growing to six Hawaiian locations by 1986, the company changed its name to Royal Hawaiian Mint. The company was sold in 1998 and Bernard von NotHaus went on to found NORFED, create the "Liberty Dollar," and subsequently be convicted of domestic counterfeiting.

Good estate condition.
