Thick cased blown glass in pink, purple, orange, and olive green lip wraps, unusual design with two openings to the sides, initialed to base.

Joe Nielander has been blowing glass for over 35 years and has been producing from his studio in Spruce Pine for 25 years. He received his MFA with Joel Philip Myers at Illinois State University where he taught all levels of glass. As an apprentice, he worked with Richard Ritter, Rob Levin and Stephen Dee Edwards. Nielander also served as Penland School of Craft's Studio Coordinator for five years.
