Robert Joseph Warrens is a painter and printmaker known for imaginative, often satirical works blending fantasy and social commentary. Educated at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and the University of Iowa, he taught at Louisiana State University and became an active figure in the southern art scene in New Orleans. His work spans painting and mixed media, and is characterized by bold color and narrative imagery.
