Gifted by Berenice Abbott in the late 1930s-40s to a young artist she met in New York City. At the time, these photographs were being considered for the Changing New York series. Thence by descent to the current owner.

Overall good condition; few smudges when viewed in raking light; small stain lower left; some wear to edges and verso (few spots and skinning area at top); description taped to backing.
