Late 19th or early 20th century, each cast as a recumbent mythical beast with bulging eyes, open jaws revealing fangs, and a curling tongue, the bodies richly textured with tight spiral curls and raised bosses, the musculature articulated along the legs and shoulders, they stand alert atop pierced oval bases cast with scrolling foliate motifs.
