One family owned from new, with a rebuilt 273 cubic inch LA V8 engine, and a TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic automatic transmission with push button controls. Upgrades for more modern operation have been added such as: Pertronix ignition, dual master cylinder added for the brakes, and the left side lug nuts have been converted to right hand threads.
Building on a worldwide record sales success in 1963, the Valiant moved into 1964 with design changes giving better economy, reliability and performance. Changes in the 1964 Valiant included a restyled front end featuring a new grille with a horizontal bars. A "Valiant" medallion was placed at the center of the grille where the bars formed a flat bulge. Vertical tail lamps replaced the previous horizontal items. In mid-year 1964 Plymouth offered the all new V8 engine for the Valiant.
The premium Signet 200 package offered a more luxurious interior, and a powered convertible top model. This one has a repaint in the original white, with the premium black custom tailored vinyl interior. The interior is mostly original, with a refurbishment during the repaint. It appears the doors and dash repainted, with front seat covers, and new carpet. The original AM radio operates.

Under current ownership, the engine was rebuilt, the rear fenders were replaced, and the car was repainted, and the front seats were re-covered. The car is all original otherwise. Lots of Original documents accompany the car such as operators manual, and the service record/warranty registration book. A binder is present documenting the refurbishment, with specs and instructions for basic tune up and service. A factory service manual, and parts catalog are also included.

very small crack in the original dash; chrome bumpers with minor pitting; solid tappet engines produce a natural ticking noise, but may need valve adjustment from run-in after rebuild (service manual included); car needs an alignment, and brakes should be checked; no other apparent concerns.
