Mid to late- 20th century, the deep rounded vessel with everted rim, decorated in a rich iron red ground with gilt decoration of birds in flight amidst flowering branches, the shoulder encircled by a band of stylized foliate motifs, interior of bowl hand painted with fish and sea plants, presented with a circular glass top and atop a raised carved hardwood stand, with an apocryphal Qianlong mark to underside.
HOA 31 x 24 x 24 in.
A small glaze flake to one side of jardiniere; a few surface marks to glass top.
