Meiji period (1868-1912), porcelain decorated in the Imari palette of iron red, underglaze cobalt blue, and gilt accents, the exterior richly painted with flowering branches, peonies, scrolling foliage, includes four vases of varying size, the largest with a dragon in relief encircling the upper body (8 1/2 in.)(star hairline crack to underside; repair to neck), and three smaller cabinet sized vases (each 5 in.)(good estate condition).
