Meiji period (1868-1912), finely decorated porcelain in the Imari palette of iron red, underglaze cobalt blue, and gilt accents, the exterior richly painted with flowering branches, peonies, scrolling foliage, includes: a large baluster shaped vase with ribbed sides (14 in.) and a bottle vase in octagonal form (12 1/4 in.).
