Meiji period (1868-1912), porcelain decorated in the Imari palette of iron red, underglaze cobalt blue, and gilt accents, the exterior richly painted with flowering branches, peonies, scrolling foliage, includes: a pair of small jars with covers (6 x 3 in. diameter)(one jar with chip to interior rim of cover), a large jar with cover (12 x 8 in. diameter)(hairline crack to rim of cover), a scalloped rim center bowl (3 1/2 x 8 1/2 in. diameter), and a square shaped serving dish (10 1/2 x 10 3/4 in.)(long hairline to center of dish).
