Meiji period (1868-1912), 19th century, a pair of porcelain jardinieres decorated in the Imari palette of iron red, underglaze cobalt blue, and gilt accents, the exterior richly painted with flowering branches, peonies, scrolling foliage, scalloped rim.

Each 5 1/2 x 9 3/4 in. diameter

From the Estate of the late Mr. John L. Stone and Mrs. Josephine T. Stone, Middlesex, North Carolina

A large hairline with repair to one; both with soil and dirt to interior from use.
