This extremely well carved brant is in the desired posture which exudes movement. Burrus was a guide at the Gooseville Gun Club and his decoys show the influence of George Washington O'Neal. Identical rigging found on Luther Burrus decoys published on pge 364 of Gunnin' Birds by Kroghie Andresen.

Original paint, working repair to the neck, bill is a partial professional replacement.
