This beach robin is from the important rig he carved as a youngster living on Portsmouth Island. It is very well carved and influenced by those made by his father Homer Harris. A rig mate is prominently published on page 95 of
Shorebird Decoys of North Carolina by Kroghie Andresen and Philip Harvey.
Original paint, damage to tip and bottom of the bill.
