Meiji period (1868-1912), 19th century, a copper and mixed metal tea kettle of compressed globular form with shaped spout, wrapped handle, and fitted cover with pierced knop finial, the body finely worked with gilt and silvered decoration depicting birds amidst flowering plants and landscape motifs, presented with a folding bamboo-form metal stand above a spirit burner.
