(18) Pieces of French Faience Aptware, Including Atelier Bernard Brown and Faucon

20th century, handmade in France, marbleized faience pottery in yellow and umber tones, most with the incised "Faucon/ APT" mark and a several additionally marked with the round stamp of Bernard Brown Atelier, to include a large footed bowl with scalloped rim (4 1/2 x 12 1/4 x 12 1/4 in.), a scalloped rim plate (10 1/2 in. diameter), and a small covered dish with vegetal form handles (4 x 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 in.); (2) round bowl forms (3 1/2 x 5 1/4 in.), a small low bowl (1 1/ 2 x 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 in.); (6) round plates in varying sizes including (2) 10 in., (2) 7 in., (1) 8 in., (1) 8 1/2 in.; (2) octagonal plates with yellow orange glaze (8 1/2 in. diameter), and a scalloped oblong plate (7 x 10 in.).

Included is an oval dish marked "MARTIN / APT" (12 3/4 x 8 1/2 in.), a spherical vase in mottled green and sienna with indiscernible mark to the underside (5 x 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 in.), an unmarked rectangular tray form in similar tones (1 1/2 x 10 x 10 in.), and a catalog text "Joseph Bernard (1905-1973) Faiencier d'art LES COULEURS DE LA TERRE."

Oval dish with surface marks and scuffs to edges; cover with small chip to the upper handle; others in good estate condition.
