Meiji period (1868-1912), late 19th century, finely decorated porcelain tall cylinder umbrella stand in the Imari palette of iron red, underglaze cobalt blue, and gilt accents, the exterior richly painted with flowering branches, peonies, scrolling foliage, and shaped reserves enclosing a lush garden scene with gate, unmarked.
