Virginia, early 20th century, presented in oval mats by Marshall Field and Company with biographical information on verso. Randolph was a sea captain engaged in trans-Atlantic trade, notably tobacco.
Included are two 19th-century gilt wooden frames with hand-colored avian prints within. (Light age toning to the paper.)
The oval frames are 6-1/4 x 8-1/4 in.; the avian frames are 7-1/2 x 6 in.
