Serial number N177948 present on bottom of grip and inside of frame behind crane, text of MOD. 27-2 present on inside of frame, text of SMITH & WESSON along left side of 5 7/8 in. barrel with matted top rib and fixed blade front sight, text of S&W.357 MAGNUM present along right side of barrel, adjustable rear sight, color case hardened trigger and hammer, pinned barrel, checkered wood grip scales with S&W medallions.
