Meiji period (1868-1912), the deeply potted octagonal bowl with lobed rim, finely decorated with floral medallions and alternating panels of scrolling foliate in the Imari palette of iron-red, underglaze blue, gilt, and black enamels, underside with Japanese character inscription in gilt.
