1946, designed by Sidney Waugh, two Audubon Series crystal plates, wheel-engraved with depictions of Audubon's birds, featuring a Barred Owl on one and a Ruffed Grouse on the other, the latter illustrated in an accompanying period magazine advertisement and article promoting the Audubon Series, hand-etched signatures to the reverse, mounted on metal pedestal display stands with felt-lined supports.
The Audubon Series was famously presented as a wedding gift to Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II) and Prince Philip by President Harry S. Truman on behalf of the United States.
