Johannes 'John' Frederik Hulk, Jr. was a Dutch painter and watercolorist, and the son of artist Johannes Frederik Hulk Sr. He studied with his father before training at the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam under August Allebé and at the Académie Julian in Paris. Hulk spent approximately twelve years in England, where he became known for paintings of fox hunts, sporting scenes, and dogs commissioned by landowners. He later served on the board of Arti et Amicitiae, as a curator of the Teylers Museum in Haarlem, and as a member of the Royal Subsidy Committee.
