Birmingham, hinged rectangular bi-fold compact cases, most with divided interior, the first two with repousse scrollwork designs, including a card case with mark of Horton & Allday (1890) (4 1/4 x 3 in.) and the smaller with worn maker's mark and 1898 hallmarks (3 5/8 x 2 in.); three others with engraved floral and scrollwork motifs, including one with marks of Deakin & Francis Ltd (1901) (4 1/8 x 3 in.), and two with marks of John Rose, 1904 and 1915 hallmarks (larger 4 x 3 in.). Smaller John Rose form with engraved dedication "To Annie from / Millie" to the cartouche, others without monograms.
