Worn mark of John Sherwood and Sons, Birmingham (active 1858-1913), of rectangular paw footed form with canted corners, swan neck handles, and domed hinge lid, panels engraved with Chinese figures in a garden, opening to dual lidded compartments with deep ultramarine upholstered lid.

Good estate condition; some light areas of bleed to plate.
