19th century, rectangular wooden form with hinged domed panel lid opening to a divide upper tray, above six lower drawer compartments, the whole elaborately decorated in Persian figural court scenes, bordered by equestrian battle scenes and scrolling foliate borders.

Scattered surface wear, areas of polychrome loss; and alligatoring surface; interior ceiling appears old but possibly by a later hand; latch to front missing pin closure; later hinges.
