Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century, metallic and silk threads on silk in kesi tapestry technique, four vertical rectangular panels of silk with warrior scenes, presented under double side glass in a moss green painted wood folding screen with tall feet.
Open 57 x 56 x 1 1/4 in., Closed 57 x 14 x 6 in.
From a Private Collection Good estate condition; some fading to color; panels may have alterations to fit into screen frames; some scattered foxing spots to silk; a loose upper joint to second panel of screen; one leg of screen is broken but remains with the screen; kesi panels have not bee examined outside of the screen.
