He studied at the Poh-Chang Arts & Crafts College and developed a distinctive approach to monoprinting, often manipulating pigment directly with his hands, fingers, and palms rather than brushes. His works frequently explore the human figure and Thai cultural themes, combining expressive techniques with modernist influences. Thanomtup has exhibited internationally, and his work has entered prominent private collections.
