Complete suite of 25 etchings on laid paper made in reverse after the original series Les Gueux, mid/late-17th century, many sheets bear Foolscap watermarks with seven-pointed collar.

Accompanied by an ink drawing for plate 12 in an unknown hand (possibly Callot).

Also accompanied by transcribed hand-written text from Edouard Meaume's Recherches sur la vie et les ouvrages de J. Callot (1853), the definitive catalogue raisonné. Handwriting is on light blue Eaton paper, and appears to date to the early/mid-20th century.

Presented together in a cloth-bound album.

Sheet size 10 1/8 x 7 in. (sizes vary slightly); Portfolio 11 1/2 x 9 1/4 in.

Overall good condition with some expected wear, such as toning and foxing.
