Circa 1880s, 11 1/4-inch cylinder playing eight airs with single comb underglass, mounted atop a brass bed plate, with patent date plaque to the lower left, mainspring arm engraved "JACOT'S / PATENTED / SAFETY CHECK / SEPT. 22, 1886.," with slow/play and stop/play levers, within a marquetry inlaid mahogany case with ebonized trim and ornate cast handles, side crank arm, and brass key escutcheon mount.

Music operating at the time of review; comb teeth intact, scattered surface wear and some scratches to the case, veneer losses, missing crank arm handle and case key.
