Two Chinese Blue and White Swatow Ware Porcelain Dishes

Probably 17th or 18th century, porcelain hand painted in underglaze blue, the first decorated with lotus sunburst radial pattern encircling a calligraphic script mark within stylized cloud borders, the underside decorated with three floral and ruyi motifs, the second with a barbed rim, all over scrolling peony blossom with scrolling leaves, the underside with three leafy sprigs.

Each: 10 1/2 in. diameter.

First dish with small flake to the rim and some staining; second dish with crack and repair, and associated chip to the rim.
